Moonshine Grill - Maggie Valley

Stopped in for dinner with a group of fourteen. The staff had us seated quickly and had two servers to take our orders. Our waitress, Meagan was friendly and informative. Drinks came out quickly and were refilled right away. We both had the prime rib special and it was cooked just how I like it, still mooing! The prices were average for the area and the meal was well worth it. Would come back again, next trip up.

OMG! Had to come out here to the hills of N. Carolina to find the best Baked French Onion Soup ever! Sherry based, couple different cheeses on top, then sprinkled with parmesan cheese and paprika. Went to cut through the cheese top, it must have been an inch thick. Not just a thin topping! I would put their Baked French Onion Soup up against any fancy New York restaurant! I also had the smoked pork loin with a sherry and mushroom sauce you can also get it with bbq sauce). It was excellent and very large. The staff are very friendly and personable, just down right down home. Fun place with excellent food. Can 't find anything bad to say about the place except I ate too much

Fried Mushrooms were amazing! Almost too much cheese on the French Onion Soup. Wonderful salads and yummy dessert.

Service was good. Food was fantastic!! Spending the weekend here and wanted to try something close to the hotel. Everything we had was wonderful. I rarely eat meat so when I do I want something good. My steak did not disappoint. The hubs had ribs that were some of the best we've ever tasted. Will be back for sure!

Last night my husband and I ate at the moonshine Grille. It's inside a motel. Yet, once you're in the restaurant, you would have no idea that it's a hotel or motel restaurant. We each ordered the baked French onion soup and we split a Reuben sandwich with fries. The owner and his wife were wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food and service were exceptionally good. We were very tired after driving into Maggie Valley from Alabama. We were glad to find a place where we could just be comfortable in casual clothes and have a delicious meal.I recommend this restaurant very strongly. The chef does a magnificent job.
