Bidra med feedbackNice North Indian food. Though I believe few items are repeatedly used both in lunch and dinner Thali, so might not be fresh. Else okay.
On my latest trip to Madurai, my list of eateries was all set and plotted. But since the sight seeing if Madurai has lot of temples we had to stick to vegetarian food for lunch. This marwadi bhojnalay serving unlimited thali was very much nearby to our hotel and the main Meenakshi temple as well so we tried out this place.<br/ It has a very simple and basic ambience serving homely food. 3 types of sabjis were available with bowl of savoury Dal and sweet Dal each. Garama garam phulkas dipped in ghee with potato and cauliflower sabji was my favourite. Rassam rice is staple food and is a must. A spoonful of thick yoghurt goes really well with the meals. Desi desserts are also available which are not a part of thali but you have e to buy it separately.<br/ That day Rassgulla and Phirni were available. Rassgulla was okayish but I liked Phirni. <br/ <br/ To sum up<br/ Food : 3.5/5<br/ Service : 4/5<br/ Value for money : 4/5
This is a place that follows the age old saying 'do not judge a book by its cover. ' Location and ambience were my only complaints. The food was truly amazing and the service was friendly as well. Priced at Rs 120 per thali, the value for money was extremely good. Hygiene was much better than I expected, so hats off for that as well. Definitely a must try for all who visit Madurai.
Very friendly staff....awesomefood. we were our trip to southindia and was sick of eating rice sambar then we found this hotel. Awesome tava roti and paneer sabji that too at very reasonable price. I would like to recommended it to every north indian if they are visiting madurai. Its very near to temple as well. Dont go by the looks just hop in.
