5 Girls - Madisonville

My previous reviews are for Crabby Shack. I've not tried 5 Girls Deli. Might be good ... just trying to clarify. Haven't been back in the area for a bit and can't see it happening in 2021.

Casual restaurant, friendly staff putting out solid food. Daily specials are all fantastic. Love the hamburger steak! Fried shrimp seems fresh never frozen and fried perfectly, not greasy at all. Salads are good size with lots of options for proteins and dressings. Club sandwich is big and fresh, hard to eat it all. Love to visit as often as I can for lunch.

**** Mary was on point with all the fixin's. The club was awesome. The Caesar salad came with fried mushrooms. Just yummy touches that make this diner so special.

They changed lox and a bagel to some smoked/ cooked through salmon nonsense and Tabasco cream cheese. And I watched their head chef blend gravy; what a hack!

This place is really confusing with constantly changing their hours. I always enjoyed breakfast here sans the coffee but they changed sometime this spring to more of a brunch opening up on the weekends at 10am. I was okay with that as we could still enjoy breakfast. One week after my last visit they changed their hours once again and don't open up on the weekend until 11am and don't serve breakfast. So We are done trying to figure out when to go and will just go to our several other faves for weekend breakfast. Shame because we do try and support local businesses as much as possible.
