Taqueria La Guadalupe - Madison

On our way to New Orleans we stopped by this restaurant and it was great.. they were not that busy that evening and our order was literally on our table in less than 5 min. We live in chicago and we know good Mexican food, and this food was great.. the waiter was excellent.. we will stop on our way back home.

Consistently good food, fast service, and amazing prices!

First, you have to drive through the gas station lot to get to them. I had the Carnitas and my wife had the grilled Pollo Fundido. Ask for extra pico de Gallo : My carnitas were smaller pieces but had fantastic flavor. The Fundido was done just so with perfect juiciness, cooked but still crispy onions and the cheese dip sauce was a great assist. The chips are thin and crisp but the salsa while ok wasn't chunky or quite spicy enough (perfect for kids . Yes we will return.

I was seated in a comfortable booth, and was tended to quickly with my drink and chips/dip. I ordered and received my meal within 5 minutes and was impressed with the quickness of it. The nachos I had were fantastic and made with delicious queso cheese. The waiter was courteous as he asked often if everything was okay. 5/5 will definitely be back again!

From the time we came there until the food on the table was less than 15 minutes. The prices were very reasonable and the food was fantastic. I couldn't finish my dish, the portion was so big, and delicious is an understatement!
