Slim Chickens - Madison

Food was made to order and very tasty. We dined inside. I ordered the 3x3 wings and tenders. The staff were very friendly and polite. A few employees walked around to ask how things were and asked multiple times if we needed anything. Great 1st experiences. Will certainly be back.

Tried a Slim Chickens once when we did our road trip moving from CA to AL. I was so in love. I immediately googled to see if there was one in AL. Sadly there wasn't. When they finally opened one here I was a little scared to go back. In my mind this was the best chicken tenders I've ever had and I was scared it wouldn't live up to my hype. So juicy, tender and flavorful. Finally went back and was not disappointed. The chicken tenders were just as good as I remembered. Maybe not quite as juicy, but still very good and still my favorite chicken tender! They looked small to me, but I actually couldn't finish my last one. Their fries are okay, not my favorite fries. I wanted to try their Mac n Cheese and while it didn't look that appetizing when it came it was surprisingly good. It's very thick consistency so not my favorite texture, but it was very tasty. Prices are pretty reasonable. My combo plus an extra side was less than $12.

Great food! Great service! I ordered the Classic tender meal. The serving size was just what I needed. This location is very clean, especially the exterior and surrounding area. I would definitely come back the next time I?m in town.

If you're meaning to be anywhere on time this place is not advisable, but if you have the time to sit down and enjoy some really well done fried chicken this is the place! (They also have signs to let you know everything is made to order and is hot and fresh! The wait is well worth it. The meals are generously portioned and can be shared. There's a variety of sides one of which was fried okra which was delicious. The fries are excellent also! We accompanied the chicken with Slim's sauce which by tasting it was a ketchup/mayo base with either bay seasoning or pepper. Really good! We finished our meal with a strawberry milkshake which was surprised to find out fresh strawberries in it. Will definitely return to check up on other menu items and explore the dessert menu! Edit: the service and getting the food has increased significantly. It appears that slims has become more established or we just happen to stop by during dinner hours. Regardless, the food is top notch and the strawberry cheesecake is delicious!

It was decent. I tried the Korean bbq and their special sauce. The wings are too saggy. If I went back I would have to ask for them to fry longer. They say everything is cooked to order but idk bout that. I got my food like 1 min after I ordered it I hadn?t even sat down and the dude was out with my food. The food wasn?t cold but it wasn?t from the fryer.
