Bidra med feedbackVery good selection of foods, can be quite busy at peak lunch hours
The food is decent and they sometimes have events like trivia nights or live music. In addition, the bowling alley and playroom is a great fun for a group hangout. However, they sometimes have limited options for the items on their menu, and usually when you arrive at 7 o'clock or later, they only serve drinks and appetizers (ries, cheese curds, etc.).
Generally, quite good food. During the late autumn, winter and early spring I wished that the doors were to the “Emergency Exits Only” terrace, which could not be opened from the outside. Every time one of these doors is opened when you eat in sett, you are hit with an explosion of cold air. With my restless hands, I can't use these spring-weight cardboard shells up to the 2. Wear level without spilling/dripping or drinking, only to avoid the cold designs.
I really dig their beerbatterries, especially paired with the special Sett sauce. This place is in the student union, so there is often a lot of traffic in and out, but if you are looking for a fast, greasy bite to eat, this is the place to be!
I’ve been to The Sett a couple of times since I’ve been a student at UW, but until today, have only really tried their burgers (which are decent enough). I honestly wish I hadn’t decided to branch out and try their boneless chicken wings with garlic parmesan sauce, because it was one of the most bizarre eating experiences I’ve had. The wings have the consistency of tofu and taste like the most subpar popcorn chicken. Not only this, but the sauce weirdly tastes like cream of mushroom soup, and has the same thickness. I’ve had better experiences eating Rhetas buffet-style sushi at 4pm than this. Besides the aforementioned chicken incident, I don’t have too many complains. The staff are wonderful, food gets done in a reasonable time, and most of their other food is pretty on par with the rest of the university restaurants. Just whatever you do, don’t get the chicken.
