Marie’s Soul Food - Madison

Stopped by on our road trip on Sunday after reading the rave reviews. Plates took only 10 mins or less, and the woman there was very kind. Best part? food was delicious and HUGE portions. Got a 10/10 from my wife who is the pickiest soul food eater. LOVEthe sweet potatoes and meat was falling off the bone. Only negative is that it?s not in our home state! For sure a go to nowevery time we are in Wisconsin!

We went through Marie's to get catering for a graduation event. They are truly amazing! The food was delicious, hot and ready to go when I needed it. Everyone complimented on how truly amazing everything was. I will be a repeat customer for events and justpersonally, the food is THAT good. Marissa is so nice and was helpful throughout the whole process as I was ordering.

We had the Family Meal for 3. The fried chicken, Mac n cheese, sweet potatoes and corn bread was delicious! Good portion sizes and decent price!!! Highly recommended! This is legit soul food!

I went to Marie's yesterday with a group of 4 friends only one of us had been there before. My meal was 4 ribs, sweet potatoes, mac cheese, and a corn muffin, and it made me very happy! Everything was delicious. Marie and her family couldnot have been more gracious and welcoming. I'll go back often!

Coming from the south, I have really missed soul food. So happy to have finally tried this place. Can place a southern fried certification on this bad boy. These women know how to make some mean soul food. Ribs were as advertised and just fell off thebone. Corn bread wasn't dry with a hint of sweet, that mac is so good I would sell my child for it, and the sweet potatoes justpulled its punches enough not to give me the sweet feet, as all good southern and soul food should. Flirting with hypoglycemiaand pure ecstacy. Will be back again after I eat some kale or something.
