Amara - Madison

What a joy it was to dine here! We loved every thing about Amara!

Went to Amara for restaurant week with a few friends, and we all really enjoyed our meal! The staff were very friendly and the food was all very fresh and delicious. Amara is a beautiful restaurant with comfortable seating and lots of natural light. The drink menu is extensive and creative.

We were at Amara for Restaurant week for lunch. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Each of the four of us sampled something different and everything was delicious with unexpected flavors and textures. We highly recommend it!

Server was friendly and did a great job! Food was perfection! I had the pancetta and it was the perfect amount of melt in your mouth with the slight crunch of the pork skin outset with the accompanying side salad. 10/10 recommend. 

Our experience sitting at the bar was excellent. The woman bartender really knew her stuff. The food came out quickly. We were serviced well. It all changed when we went to dine. The service person was very tentative in his demeanor and you could hardly hear him and it’s not because the place was too noisy. It was just him. He didn’t know the menu well. Had to ask him to check on information (ie: cut of beef) for us because he didn’t know the menu. Never came back and asked us how the food was after it had been brought. Never refilled the water. He was nice but inexperienced and not well trained. Also, probably not suited to a career in table service. My food was mediocre and not hot all the way through just at the bottom.
