Thai Amarin Erindale Restaurant

Wonderful tasty food with plenty to choose from, friendly attentive service, and nice cosy atmosphere.

A pleasant eating experience to catch up with friends. Four of us shared a banquet, wine and conversation. The food was freshly cooked and to our delight contained an abundance of vegetables. All the dishes were very tasty, service was fine and the bill was very reasonable for the amount we ate. A pleasant mid range experience. nothing flash but clean and presentable.

My wife and i recently attended Thai Amarin on a quiet evening with only one other couple in the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and well presented. Our order of one entree of fish cakes to be shared, and two mains with rice for two was politely taken. We did not have a long wait for our dishes to arrive. The fish cakes, my wife 's favourite, were spongy and chewy suggesting prolonged storage. Further they were not very tasty. One of our mains was Massamam Beef, my particular favourite, which was dominated by potato and a small serve of beef. This dish was nowhere as flavoursome as this dish normally is at other Thai restaurants. Our other main was green chicken curry. Once again the serve was small, but more importantly lacking in flavour. Plain and lacking taste is a kind description; no fragrance, no wow factor! All this disappointment for $54! Given the shortcomings with our meal we are most unlikely to return and certainly would not recommend it to others. We came to Thai Amarin out of a sense of past loyalty and nostalgia and were greatly disappointed. There is another Thai restaurant close by, offering more interesting dishes, more competitive pricing and a more welcoming ambiance particularly as indicated by the much greater number of patrons. This other place will be our destination next time we 're seeking a tasty, more generous meal. Of great concern to us was the complete lack of COVID contact tracing records until we asked about them at payment time. When I mentioned to a family staff member that the meal lacked flavour and that we were disappointed, his response was Thanks for the feedback. That was it! Never again!

We eat here quite often either eating in or take-away. The food is always great and the service is always friendly and attentive. After going here for several years we’ve never had a bad meal or experience.

Had delivery. Nice and quick and came fresh and hot. Yummy chicken wings. Yummy pad see yu also yummy it need an extra kick and the real chicken (good) was a little over cooked but I don’t mind. Free prawn crackers!!!! More fresh Thai basil and chilli please in chilli basil.
