Since in Maasin there is virtually no competition, Kinamot is the go-to place to enjoy the sea breezes over a beer and freshly cooked Filipino food, with a Chinese slant. Most dishes are designed to be shared, so bring your group or a big appetite. The menu is comprehensive and most items are available most of the time. Choices of rice dishes and vegetables is good, as is the choice of pork dishes. Non-pork based dishes are limited. Vegetarian almost non-existant. Choices of drinks is very limited and sometimes fresh fruits are not available at all. As is usual around the Filipino food scene, a trip to the nearest market to replenish outages just does not occur.Desert choices are limited, but excellent.Prices are considered "expensive" locally, so the clientele are generally upscale Filipinos, with a spattering of foreigners. The Governor held his Christmas Party at Kinamot this past December.
