Tom's Carry Out - Lyons

This is a Chicago style restaurant. You go in you order at the counter and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. They have a very large menu with a little something for everyone. The prices are fair and the food is tasty. They offer bottled beers as well as some Mexican drinks. There is usually some sort of sport game playing on the large TV. They also have a separate gambling room. I have been here numerous times and try something different to eat each time. Overall, it's a nice place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. The atmosphere is just a place to eat with customers ranging from people of all backgrounds. If you are in the area and need a quick bite this is a good place to go eat.

It 's OK . The food is fine, the dining room and atmosphere are as expected. Diner normal , if you will. The (counter) service is somewhat slower and the prices are somewhat higher than equivalent places with very similar menu items within a mile or so of Tom 's Carry Out. You don 't expect a lot from a place like this. They all use the same handful of providers for their hot dogs, gyros, burgers, etc. so differentiation is on price and speed and quality of service.

Been eating here for over 20 years the food staff are always top notch! Great selection too!

Don't ever go away Mr. Tom! My wife and I live in Alabama but when we come up there we can never forget our favorite childhood place!

Food is good. They have Mexican and Italian food and Gyros. They have good Italian beef. Great service. Great customer service Lost of parking available. The restaurant is clean. Fast and fresh food. Big screen TV for the customer. They also have a room for video gamings for adults over 21
