Slim Chickens - Lynchburg

(pictured; slim?s meal and a side salad, a little less than $10) The staff is pretty fantastic. Quick, kind, understanding, active, present. So polite and gracious. The interior is revamped from the ?Doc?s Diner? LU used to host in the building. Looks more open and modern now! The food is alright. Pretty fast presentation?not beautiful, but not hideous. Spice for the grilled chicken is fairly good! Really enjoyed the layers?it?s not just a piece of meat with salt. Don?t get the ?side salad? if you?re wanting a healthy side. It comes with cheese and croutons and tastes odd?like it?s pre-packaged and a bit old or something. Go for potato salad or fries. The mango habanero dipping sauce has a decent kick and little articulated ?mango?. It just tastes like a sweet hot sauce with the consistency of Thai chili, but not the same softness of taste. The toast is Texas toast; it?s not soaking in oil or butter, so that?s good. Takeout is inferior to dine-in. I?ve tried both now. Takeout is soggy, and it just sits in a cardboard box. The freshness makes a difference with this kind of food.

We had a Wonderful experience here. The manager Marcus was so friendly and helpful. He really made our dinner amazing! The chicken is delicious and so well flavored and the fries were great!! Everything was perfectly cooked. This is a fairly new location that also serves the university population so it is currently a hidden gem but i expect it to take off. Great food! Great service and very clean! This was an excellent restaurant!

Absolutely AMAZING FOOD, service was GREAT, and just an overall amazing restaurant. One of my favs now!

My youth group did a trip to the Slim Chicken ???? on a Saturday for lunch! It was AMAZING! The supervisor Marcus was very friendly and helpful he wore a smile the whole time! The woman who took our order Nicole was also very friendly and served us with a smile. Thank you Slim Chicken for this wonderful experience! I'd highly recommend you'd go to the slim Chicken next time you're in the Lynchburg area.

Go here if you have 4+ hours to wait for a KFC quality meal. Food is better than most other options on campus, but the staff that works there definitely is on drugs and is often cussing in the background. One of the workers there often paces around the restaurant with a crazy look in his eyes that is anything but enjoyable. Avoid here if possible.
