Shakers - Lynchburg

It had been 18 years since we had eaten here, and they did not disappoint. We used to live in the Lynchburg area, and Shaker's was a favorite. We were back this weekend for a wedding, and this was the place we both wanted to go to. It was just as good as we remembered. Maybe better! My husband was craving their salad with honey dill dressing delicious. He also had steak and finished with the flash fried banana cheesecake. The kind and very efficient waitress surprised us by splitting the dessert in 2 dishes so we could both enjoy it. We didn't ask for this, but it was such a thoughtful gesture, and after tasting it, I was very glad she did. I had the baked spaghetti. Wow! The meat sauce was fantastic. The dish was covered with beautifully baked cheese, and the garlic bread was perfectly smothered in butter. If we still lived in the area, Shaker's would still be our favorite. Great service, even better food.

Very pleasantly surprised at the service, food quality and taste. It was a much needed break and Shakers made our visit a good memory. Thank you!

The servers and other staff were quite friendly and attentive. The food was really good (I had a steak), and the dessert was equally so. (I had a cheesecake) what surprised me was with how full the parking seemed, they had a number of tables still available where they could have seated probably another 3 or 4 groups of up to 4 each. Parking: The restaurant is on the outer loop around the mall, so parking overall should never be a problem, but Close parking might be an issue.

Get the onion rings!!!! And the steak was to die for. Hubs had fish tacos and daughter had salt pepper catfish both were happy. Serving sizes are HUGE!!
