Mi Patron - Lynchburg

If you 've ever wondered how to stay fit and yet enjoy your cheat meals once in a while, the answer is ALWAYS sushi!!! And for my husband and I, the place to be is the Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse in Lynchburg, VA. I 'm not one for raw protein and veggies but this Steakhouse got me hooked! Their sushi is fresh and flavorful and comes in variety of options. My husband and I are regular patrons and we recommend the Sushi Roll options. If you 're a hardcore carnivore : try the chicken tempura, spicy tuna or salmon rolls. If you prefer a mix of meats and veggies go for the Alaskan and Californian rolls. We 've recently discovered the 'sweety roll ' and pure avocado rolls which are one of our favurites. Ordering a combination of rolls is the best way to go and ensures you get a bite of everything. Besides the basic rolls, the menu also offers a variety of sashimi and special rolls if you like being adventurous with your food! The sushi is best had with soya sauce and wasabi. The trick we discovered to get the best out of this combination, is to mix a pinch of wasabi in the sauce itself instead of having it separately. What makes this steakhouse unique though (and keeps us coming back every single weekend is their 50% off Sushi Sundays! That said the ambiance of the restaurant is great, it 's well managed and the staff is friendly and well informed. One of our favorite hangouts and a great place for conversation food and friends!!

Their sushi is Amazing! Nothing beats the quality of their food. Plus, they put time and care into their work of art! Great specials every week too. Get that hibachi right off the grill and some sushi on the side. Let the food speak for itself!

I love going to wasabi with friends and family. Its very friendly and the food is amazing. The hibachi chefs are very funny and entertaining and the wait staff is very good. Definitely its moneys worth.

A trip to visit family in Lynchburg is never complete without a trip to Wasabi! Last night was the best experience ever! Our hibachi chef was the funniest and most entertaining guy we have ever had. The food was excellent as always but he made the night even better!

I stopped by recently to have dinner with the family. Our chef was Abdul. He was great. Our two kids really enjoyed him. He interacted with them a lot and managed to cook the food to perfection. The server got our drinks and food in a timely manner and everything seemed to go without a hitch. I couldn't ask for more. All-around a great time.
