Depot Grille Lynchburg

This location is on a beautiful view of the james river and the actual restaurant is really beautiful. I had the sweet and spicy fried juice together with the fried oysters and they were delicious. I sat at the bar and the service was great! nowadays is a good service hard to find.

Delicious bourbon glazed salmon entree. Giant stalk of broccoli was good, slaw was good. Caesar salad and house salad were good and accompanied the entree. Seafood mac n cheese was penne pasta with shrimp and a cream sauce, tasted great. Fried mushroom appetizer was very tasty and a big portion we could not finish. Friendly and prompt service. Nice outdoor seating.

The food was good, large portions. Some portions were too large for some in our group. We were all impressed with the decor. Our only concern was the service was slow. We had a group of 20 people, all from out of town and we were there at the tail end of the lunch hour. It is worth giving it another shot but with a smaller group, and without a time deadline.

Birthday dinner with my husband at the Depot. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere. We had good size portions. The Santa Fe Chicken was really good and I would definitely order it again. The veggies seemed very fresh, but didn’t have a lot of flavor. And the server was not too friendly. Overall though, it was a good experience.

I wish I listened to the names of the waiter, but he did a great job and was attentive. the food was fresh, hot and delicious. we had a decent size group for lunch and it was fast. I didn't eat here in a past and his still good food.
