La Bonne Auberge - L'Union

We have eaten at La Bonne Auberge three times in the last year and have never been disappointed. The food is consistantly excellent and the staff delightful.

We were here to celebrate a birthday and sat out on the terrace. In the middle of a heat wave (38 degrees the team produced and served a great meal. Although the heat must have been a problem there was no sign of this just the normal excellent food, service, wine and welcome. Merci a la equip!

We tested after Tripadvisor recos. First, the negative points: the terrace is cruelly lacking in charm; it gives on this huge parking lot and remains very poorly arranged (no decors, separations, etc...no intimate property)! LED candles from the frog for the atmosphere at each table, of a very bad taste compared to the standing of the menus! Is that so expensive a real candle? Then map of the hallucinating aperos with base kirs to 7.50, the bottle of louvière to 75e and the rocker to 54 ( connoisseur of these 2 wines I pay them 20 and 13.) the margin yes but still! Then I choose a leffe announced at 5th in pressure! no contenance and the boss unable to tell me if it is 25 / 33 or; It's a big bowl she's telling me, a 33 sure! Of course, I'm taken from 25! When you don't know what you're doing, you learn or you mark it on the map! No...Beautiful and fresh, by the way....For the rest is super positive: copied entries, refined and excellent (red tuna tartare and ice soup) nothing to say, a treat! The desserts of the same, a great mastery (melting ice cream chocolate gazelle and a thousand coconut leaf and sorbet passion )the dishes are good but remain classic, no surprise on the accompaniments. quality meat and beautiful cooking however! we enjoyed the discussion with the chef at the end of the meal, very nice !in conclusion, an excellent chef but prices comfort to review and terrace to embellish.

The good hostel with good cuisine! of choice, a beautiful map and a nice setting, a good address!
