Bidra med feedbackIn the lübecker bay is the a-Rosa hotel in travemünde well known. Until the beginning of 2020, it even housed the restaurant buddenbrooks, which was excellent with a star, but which was now closed (already before the Corona pandemic=. However, external guests with the “vine economy” will also be here an incoming point for a slightly more sophisticated kitchen to moderate trips, which has also given the local bib gourmand award. already 2x I have already arrived here and would like to share my experiences here. in front of the Corona-Pandemie, you could come back here from 12:00 to a lunch meal or a fortification (hopefully the restaurant will soon return to such regular opening times. The ambiente naturally invites you to stay with the stylishly decorated outdoor area with weeping, which not only take up the restaurant name but also in the summer pleasantly shaded. input range. the outside area. at both visits, the young service team was officially trained, friendly and also asking or wishing for change to the card were welcome or fulfilled - of course, the focus is on the drink card here on the noble rebensaft. but I can't give more detailed information about this, because I myself am not a weintrinker. however, it is often attempted to create/predict a connection of wein and dine on the map that can also be viewed online. another speciality of the menu is the possibility to order different dishes also in a type of tapas form as a nasty at a smaller price of 4-5€. for me, this is really a great idea, but it allows to try out several dishes immediately, without having to wear and wallet too much. the orientation of the kitchen can be considered south German or In this context, the Commission is proposing to the Council a proposal for a directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to cosmetic products. at my first visit in juli 2018 I also tried this offer with a three-piece. my choice included for the first time the slutzkrapfen with spinach filling in the kamptaler flower butter with melted tomato and goat cheese. the Ravioli-like crawls convinced with velvety teig and very tasty filling. with spinach filling in a blossom butter with melted tomato and goat cheese I still liked the tatar from the smoked bachforelle on pumpernickel with red senfzwiebeln and ackersalat through fresh, pleasant consistency and balanced ratio of sweet and acid. only the small soßentupfer remained neutral and did not bring any additional taste into the pettyness. Tatar from the smoked bachforelle on pumpernickel with red scavenging and ackersalat the marinated discs from the brezenknödel could lastly have been a bit thicker, because they were more tastefully to gel. black forests shining and kressesalat had to be the only flavor carrier here, but were again blessed with good product quality. Of course, all these portions did not get tired, but this should not be the sense of a “seeding”. only with the brezenknödel the small portioning also seemed tastefully a little negatiw. but that was already a whining at a slightly higher level. In August 2018, it should be a real strengthening with a court from the daily offer. the sour velvet meat from the Duroc pig with cut-blue cucumber, garlic cucumbers and on my request (which was kindly filled with band noodles instead of fried drilling for 15.2€ I just didn’t want to miss out on the way as “Great” something: ciabatta and sourteigbrot with heap buttered. the sourdigbrot had a very dark chest, which was a little bit bitter. the crume was otherwise nicely loose and not dry. in ciabatta there was nothing to complain about. the heap butter surprised with an actually perceptible heap aroma. a slightly sweet one of the ferbse and the butter acid joined so very well. ciabatta and sourteigbrot with heap butter at the daily dish convinced the band noodles once with al dentem gargrad. they were additionally made with some oil and a little sliced liquor, so they were protected from drying and tastefully defined. the velvet meat was placed in fried form in sour jelly together with carrots, spicy cucumbers and stamina. the acid was not too strong and left the delicate meat room to taste. sniff grains delivered a very good matching piedge note. the cucumber was also made with fresh sliced pitch and pleasantly cool. on the gurken nothing could be put out, as they were not too upset. sour chelfleisch vom Duroc-Schwein mit schnittlauchquark, garlic cucumbers and band noodles briefly summarized, after my two visit the “vine economy” to all Travemünde visitors who either seek a snack as well as an entire deftige meal. Here you can really hope for a good quality, which is also justifiable to the price level that is raised in the lübecker bay anyway and not more like a tourist trap.
Staying at the aRosa-Resort: this is one option for dinner (beside the upscale Buddenbrooks and the the Wintergarten – buffet style). But it is open for the public as well.Nice concept: quarterly there are certain wine regions on focus and special dishes of this region are offered. They do have standard dishes and wines a la carte as well. The service was absolutely friendly and skilled. During our visit in early April these regions were featured: Franken, RheinValley, Austria (Langenlois), France (Elsass). Most of the appetizers are served in 3 different sizes: small for tasting, appetizer format, almost main course. We went for a small tartar of beef, for a small “Handkäs” and 2 different soups (“eingebrannte” soup of bread, broth with flädle). For main we choose to share a Tarte Flambee and a galantine (Sülze) around Blauzipfel (a special sausage from Franken). The Frankenwein went well, followed by a glass of Austrian Cuvee (red). It was a pleasure to sit and relax – to enjoy the atmosphere and the food.
Went here for dinner while staying at the A-Rosa spa, where the buffet was great but the room very loud, so wanted to try something else. In our price with the spa we would get the 3 course dinner, where we could choose btw two main dishes and would a get a starter and dessert. The food was really good. it was well prepared, great tasting German food and I think the portions was fitting. I was quite full after the 3 course menu. Being a wine lover I really enjoyed their wine card with lots of wines by the glass and the wines split up into regions and showing some of Germanys upcoming wine regions. The service was really friendly and attentive and created a good atmosphere so my girlfriend and me had a really enjoyable dinner. Thanks a lot.
As the name suggests, this is place where one should go for an simple but honest meal of local specialities, accompanied by the local wine - or is it the other way around.Whether this fits in Travemünde is debatable, but I also enjoy a Mexican restaurant in Dubai, so guess it is just me being picky. In any event I was in the mood for a light meal with a nice glass of wine, and that was exactly what I got. While there were also both a set-menu and a'la carte opportunities I chose to explore the regional opportunities where a (German) wine districts traditional delicacies are paired with the matching wines. The food was very nice and well presented, but not something I will dream about for years.Service was great, attentive, knowledgable and helpful - much appreciated since my knowledge of German wine is pretty far from impressive.I would happily be back!
The "Weinwirtschaft" now with a new concept, typical (southern) German food and wine of the different regions in the south. The wine available is really good, even better is the typical german food, freshly made, good receipts and well presented. But be aware, most portions are just starters, but that is not mentioned in the menu. Considered the small portions (and I am not used to a lot), the prices are very (too) high. The service was awful, they forgot the bread and the cutlery, brought the wrong meal, ignored us for some time and were not very helpful, I hope they had just a bad day, but nearly the same happened to our neighbours. So if you are lucky or unconcerned about the service and the prices, try it, the food and the ambience is worth a visit.
