Bortell’s Fisheries - Ludington

The best fish, time. You are busy in the heart of the summer so you may wait, but it is worth it. Nice people, good food, and you can take your meal to Summit Park and eat at Lake Michigan.

It would not be a trip to Ludington without stopping at Bortell's on South Lakeshore Drive for USA Wild daughter See perch, Lachs, Walleye, Smelt, Whitefish, Icelandic Cod, Ocean Perch, trout, catfish, shrimp, scallops, mussels and oysters. They also have smoked salmon, Icelandic cod, etc. Meals include 1/2 lb fish, Fries Coleslaw; and drinks are available for purchase. The best part is you can get the fish you want from the meat case, and its fried while you wait! And right in front of the door is a shady area with flawless picnic tables so you can dig in immediately. We had white fish, shrimps and scallops today, and they were predictably scrumbling! Don't wait too late a day because they might be sold out!

If you like to eat fish, Bortell's is the place to goGreat tasting fish and shrimps It is a little off the beaten path, but the journey to its location is a scenic and worth the trip!

Wow just gogled to find some seafood and never expected this big little place. Everything was fresh and very tasteful. We'll be back.
