Bidra med feedbackGreat tonkatsu ramen. Pork was very nicely soy sauce flavored. Soft boiled egg was perfect with a little sweetness. Noodles were perfectly bouncy. The broth was probably it's only weak point, lacking in some pork bone broth. Curry ramen was an excellent surprise! Just the right spiciness and flavor more akin to Indian curry than Japanese curry. The beef was very tender and flavorful. Overall 2 great dishes.
This is one of my favorite places in town. It can get busy since it's across from Texas Tech, but it's well worth it. The food is so good!
I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and received a flavor bomb. Each item in the bowl was absolutely wonderful and had such great flavors. Highly recommend. I will certainly eat here again if I am back in Lubbock.
Went to the restaurant back in June 2021, got a bowl of poke and they filled the bowl up (absolutely no complaints about the amount of food I got). However, with their generosity, I was having a hard time mixing the food so I went up to the cashier and ask if I can have an extra empty bowl. Absolutely not. They were just get furious when I ask for an empty bowl and said why buy a small then as for extra bowl to split when I can go ahead and buy a large bowl. Then go on and say
I definitely did not expect the pleasant surprise that awaited me as I entered this restaurant. Although perhaps the sedate mannerisms of the cashier set my expectations low; how could such a quiet employee raise my excitement for the food, but the ramen was some of the best I've had! If I didn't live so far, this would easily become one of my mainstays.
