Mill City Cafe - Lowell

This is the real deal. I've had BBQ in North Carolina. I've had fried chicken in Louisiana. You won't find better in all of New England than Mill City BBQ. The pulled pork was amazingly flavorful and succulent, the corn bread melts in your mouth, fresh made sweet potato fries, and crisp coleslaw (with the dressing on the side so it stays as crisp! . You can tell they care about their food. Until today, I sincerely thought that I didn't like red velvet cake. I thought it was supposed to be dry and tasteless, made tolerable by cream cheese frosting. I was so wrong. Mill City's red velvet cake was everything I've heard red velvet should be. It was like the best chocolate cake and the best cheesecake you ever ate made sweet sweet love.

Pictures dont do this place justice. The food is absolutely delicious. The meat is tender, fall off the bone, delicious! The bbq sauce is one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be coming back!

Because of the virus we had my wife’s birthday party catered instead of going to the restaurant. The ribs were outstanding, pulled pork delish, fried chicken was juicy and crisp, corn bread best ever, Mac and cheese was terrific, and the coleslaw was super. Everyone loved the food and had a great time especially the birthday girl. Thanks to everyone at mill city BBQ.

Great BBQ north of Boston. Our favorites were the fall of the bone ribs, tender chicken wings and the sweet potato fries were they drizzled in maple syrup? . If you are reading this and planning to pick up, give them a call and order over the phone, no need to go thru their website as a small business they lose a cut! Highly recommend!

A shrine to tasty meats! They make several sauces: hot, Carolina gold, house, and sweet pineapple. We liked the hot and house best. We had chicken wings, smoked sausage, and pulled pork. The meat was all very juicy and delicious. Sides were fresh and good. We ended with an excellent coconut cake. Service was quick and really friendly. The dining room was clean and nice. Pr8ces are reasonable. We'll definitely be going back.
