Solar Do Poeta - Loulé

We had the set lunch menu today carrot and coriander soup with homemade bread and a feta and olive tapenade; main courses pork with a cider and apple sauce or dorada along with chips and 2 types of veg then some delicious homemade puddings Mine was an apple cake which was moist and very sweet but other options were chocolate and Grand Marnier mousse, strawberry pavlova and chocolate brownie. This was all washed down by a tasty rose wine with the prettiest pink label ever. Sadly I can’t remember the name! When the bill came I was amazed at how reasonable the price was for one of the loveliest lunches I have had in Portugal. You must not miss this!

This was our first visit to the restaurant and it won’t be our last. We were spoilt for choice when choosing our food eventually settling for starter, main and sweet course. All the food was tasty and well presented. The waitress was attentive and very accommodating when we requested minor variations to the menu to suit our taste.

Wow !! My god best Indian evening was so good all diff friends and children Can I comment on Vinny the chef it was fantastic Everyone used to ask about a good take away but I recommend u sit enjoy the ambiance and staff the gorgeous Lindsay Full of advice on food and wine and could make u feel like a celebrity

First visit to this lovely restaurant and it certainly won’t be our last! Great food, excellent service and really friendly staff all led by owner/chef Simon who couldn’t have been nicer !

A really nice traditional Sunday lunch, carvery service, good value for money, nice ambiance, really nice welcome on arrival. Will come again.
