Restaurante Snack-bar Lanterna - Loulé

We originally decided we wasn't hungry and would just order drinks the restaurant being very busy at about 12.45 pm on a Thursday and we was able to secure the last but one available table.By the time we was finally served a wait of over 20 minutes we decided to order food the waitress was pleasant and tried with her English involving a nurse on another table to translate.The drinks came first and another 10 minute wait for the cover and 15 minutes for our food. The restaurant is pleasant bright and clean my squid being excellent my friends Bitoque was good but was not as ordered on the English blackboard menu which had different dishes to the Portugese blackboard menu.We was offered four choices of Desserts deciding on chocolate Moose and Cheesecake which was both very good.The bill with coffees and more drinks was reasonable.Looking forward to a further visit.

Don 't be afraid to try the real mummy Portuguese kitchen. This is not the place to trick the gringos . Here you will meet the real people, those one who know the kitchen stuff, the value for money, the day by day cuisine. If you are visiting Loulé don 't miss Lanterna , at the old tow, right in front of the hospital s main door. Not fancy but worth every euro. The real thing. Choose fish, and typical. Ask the owner. Is a nice guy.

Perfect home cook lunch, fast service excellent dish of the day choice and tasty desserts! AND of course the cheapest in town! Love it
