Drove by this place and was gated up and a for sale sign in the lawn

I went there on a Sunday for a private birthday party. It was $10 to get in. You get 1 drink ticket or you can use it for a breakfast muffin. I used mine for a mimosa. Mimosas tasted nice. Venue was nice. Manager changed the TV for me to football as I requested. Here is where the problems begin ... It was supposed to be brunch, But I don't think they were prepared for the amount of people that showed up. My order was sent back at 1:26. I ordered 3 items that are $15 each and I gave the server taking my order a $10 tip. A full hour went by and still no food. I also ordered a beer and didn't get that. After the hour we spoke to a couple of servers. One rolled her eyes at us as she walked away. The manager finally got involved. Gave some people's money back. I told him that I will take my food if you can get it out here in like 15 minutes. He did that. It was missing my bacon and my shrimp and grits didn't have the potatoes. I let the potatoes go because I didn't like them anyway but he did bring my bacon out. I also finally got the beer that I ordered an hour before. The manager did explain to me that they use a catering service and the caterers booked 2 parties at the same time so left them understaffed. I gave my chicken and waffles to the birthday guy so I'm not sure how that tasted but it didn't look good. The shrimp and grits was excellent! Haven't tried my omelet yet with all the veggies but it is supposed to have cheese and does not. All around I had fun at the party but the catering or kitchen staff needs to get right. Drinks are pretty high but if you want to ball out- that is the place to go. I told the manager I would give them one more chance to redeem themselves. I would have gave them less stars but I did have fun and they fixed our issues.

This place is really cool. I checked it out with a couple friends to see if it would suite for an upcoming event. We met the owner/manager, he was so friendly and you could see the passion for the place. The place was sleek and a really cool vibe from decor, to furniture, to their cocktail list. Our bartender was so fun and friendly, he really took care of us. The music was on point (at least for me, I was enjoying every hit after hit). Honestly didn't know this existed before and now I'm so excited to go back and share with friends about this unique, minority owned place. Check it out if you're able to!

Wouldn’t let us in for a concert we paid for after telling us we could get in if we aren’t 21. wouldn’t give us a refund. will not be getting my business next year. turned us at the door.
