Havana Rumba

This food is DELICIOUS!!!! I recommend it all the time and have been pleased at every visit! I have 4 children and they request to celebrate their birthday dinners here every time!!! LOVE It!

Originally, we were not sure about this restaurant, from outside it is nothing spectacular. Once we entered though, everything changed. The atmosphere was great, reminding us of the Caribbean, and the service was friendly and efficient. The seafood is spectacular and the chicken is spicy. Dessert is a must, we haven't had anything that wasn't fantastic. Great experience overall.

Havana Rumba is one of the most underrated restaurants in Louisville. I have NEVER had a bad meal there, and it is a cool place to take out-of-town guests. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a sunny Havana house, no matter what the weather outside! If you are looking for a good Cuban sandwich, they've got it. Good mojitos? Check. But I can't say enough good things about the Cherna a Parilla, which is basically a grilled grouper which is probably the best grilled fish meal you could imagine. Amazing flavor and seasoning! It comes with fried plantains and delicious black beans and rice, which are also good but that grouper is unreal! They also have a chicken marinated in blood oranges and some amazing roasted pork dishes for those who prefer heavier meat dished. They also have plenty of options for vegatarians, most notably, the veggie empanadas which will make even hard-core carnivores happy. And the papas rellenos (deep fried mashed potato balls stuffed with marinated chicken) are like nothing I've ever had.
