El Toro Mexican Iii - Louisville

We experienced unsanitary food and terrible service. I ordered a chicken taco salad. After a couple of bites, a large (approx. 2-3 inches) piece of half-uncooked chicken came out of the bottom of the salad. When I showed the waiter, he took away the plate, and came back with a manager, Benny, who informed me that it was tomato and insisted that I finish eating it. He did not offer to replace the salad, and when I said I didn't want the rest of it for fear of salmonella, he took it away. We were charged for the salad as well as the rest of the uneaten food. I called the health department.

Our server was good, however a member of our party found a Broken Finger Nail in her food. She was not charged and we (six others) could not finish eating our food. The manager refused to discount our meals and walked away. I understand that things happen, however I have never had such poor service when such an incident had occurred. We all work in healthcare and I am completely sickened at this incident.

I had a great time at this restaurant! As always, the chips and queso were delicious. My main dish was slightly overcooked, but still very tasty. I will definitely come back again!

The prices at this Mexican restaurant were slightly higher than our usual spot, but the customer service was fantastic!

The food was excellent and the staff was fantastic. The chilli rellenos were particularly delicious.
