Bidra med feedbackThe food was disgusting, like something you'd feed your dog. service was horrible, very rude waitress. Nobody came in the whole time I was there.
....eh This place is pretty awful. I was asked to meet someone here. I let them choose where they wanted to go. I should not have allowed that. I should have at LEAST pushed to eat at the cleaner, decent looking El Nopal across the street. It was only 7:30pm and we were the ONLY people in the place. Despite that, service was incomprehensibly slow AND our orders got messed up! You can't even blame it on being busy or in the weeds or not be able to hear the person placing their order. I got a margarita to start because...you need something just to stand the awkward silence as there is no music, no tv noise, and no one else there. But that was the saltiest margarita I have ever tasted. And I don't just mean because of extra salt on the rim...the *actual* beverage was salty.... I got a veggie quesadilla. Heavy....VERY heavy on the veggies, almost non-existently light on the queso part of that. And it was dripping in oil. Very difficult to eat and not particularly appetizing. My friend ordered flautas...but was delivered enchiladas. They were fine with it if they could just get some guacamole, which the come with the flautas. The staff insisted on taking the whole plate away and remaking the correct thing...which cool...except it was getting rather late and we just wanted to eat and we were being chill about it, just bring some guac. But they sort of explained that they literally CANNOT (would not) give us any guacamole, even if the mix up was their fault, without our ordering and being charged for a whole extra side/appetizer...unless they took all the food back and made the correct meal. It was an absolute waste of time and food and was really weird. They also have a very heavily scented candle burning at the register, which is TERRIBLE in a restaurant. Your dining room smells like mediocre Mexican food...and fake sugar cookies (which you do not sell). Ew. I won't be returning. Not of my own volition, and should someone suggest it I will request an alternate location or not go at all.
Super nice people, good food, just a little slow. A good place to get good food, family oriented, and a hang out pace.
We had our worst dining experience in a long time at the Preston /Eastern Pkwy location. The server was rude all the way through, from rushing our order, to being told we could not customize the cheese on tacos, to harassing us for a tip because I didn't leave it on the credit card. In fact, the 18% tip was already on the table, in cash, even though I was reluctant to leave a tip at all. The food was just OK. For the same price, we could've just ate at El Nopal across the street and received a lot better service and better food, to boot. Chips came out kinda dark tasted a little burnt. Rice was mostly flavorless and crushed, like the grains had all been broken somehow. The ground taco meat was soggy and bland.
This location is just less than a five-minute drive from our hotel. My mom and I were weighing the tough decision whether to go to El Nopal or El Tarasco. We chose this, and boy, are we lucky or what? This dining space is very clean, and the service from the waiter is much nicer and friendlier. The price of our food was quite reasonable, and the quality of the food, along with presentation is great because of the lower price of food. I would come back to this restaurant. Nice work, El Tarasco!
