La Playa restaurante & bar

We ate here a few times. the Quina salad was so good! this is my favorite in los barriles. it is somewhat more expensive, but it is open to beach and sea. the garnelenquesadilla is another favorite. sometimes there is music. it is a mix of local and tourist. the drinks are good, not watered. service is excellent. I don't know if they serve breakfast, but the lunch and/or dinner is a must in this restaurant when in los barriles.

Beautiful location on the beach. we had a sashimi appetizer that was really amazing and well presented. we had mezcal cocktails that were really delicious, but we couldn't taste mezcal at all. we were in the mood for burger and I had the blue cheeseburger. While it was delicious, I could not taste any blue cheese that has a very strong taste in the rule. that leads me to believe that it was either very bad quality blue cheese or they just didn't put much on it. I would have given the restaurant 4 stars, but if our bill came, we learned that this is a single bar restaurant. we were very surprised how much smaller companies took in lb credit cards. I wish there was a sign on the door when we had entered. we had hardly enough money for the bill and congratulate. because one would be such a nice and unfortunately American cash, one would think they would take credit cards.

So relaxing. the atmosphere is covered. very clean, excellent service and excellent eating. great place to sit back and watch windsurfers.

We ate here our first night in town. The beach front setting at sunset is magical. The service not so much. Our server seemed disinterested only did the bare minimum in bringing us our food drinks. The margaritas were delicious although very small...and the food was good. My fish was well prepared. Having eaten at many restaurants in town now, we found much better service lower prices elsewhere.

El pueblo es amable, no hay ostentosidad, lugar tranquilo para alejarte del barullo y de las prisas de la ciudad. Su playa es MARAVILLOSA para disfrutarla el día entero... sus olas son perfectas, ni parece alberca ni son muy bravas... y el color cristalino del agua hacen que no te quieras salir nunca. Volvería mil veces y en mayo no hay gente..
