Zankou Chicken - Los Angeles

Amazing oasis of delicious food in an otherwise terrible city over expensive fast food. Locally everything is delicious on the menu, the staff is attentive and friendly. You can't ask for more. Diving is clean and cool, waiting staff to clean constantly. Will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. I have passed many times and always heard that it was good, but now that I have been there, I understand how good it really is. Everything is authentic and fresh and you can not go wrong with anything you choose. I'm sure I'll be back soon. If you were ever in this area, I recommend this Mediterranean dish and restaurant. I promise you won't be disappointed. It is tasteful and cooked for perfection.

It's appropriate, but I always expect it to be better than it is. Although the hummus tastes fresh, it's hardly what a page calls. The chicken is Blande, the store bought Pita comes in a bag, and the garlic larvae and the picky pink stuff never attracted me.

This place is the real deal! Absolutely some of the freshest most flavorful food I've tasted. We got a meal deal with a whole roast chicken, two sides and pita bread. The chicken is fall off the bone, the tabouleh was fresh, colorful and well balanced, the hummus was almost whipped it was so smooth and delicious. The meal is served with the crowning glory, vinegar soaked turnips (pickled turnips) and garlic butter. This butter is HEAVENLY, we ended up going through about ten of the small little cups they serve it in. It's melt in your mouth garlic deliciousness. Highly recommended and a new favorite of ours.
