Bidra med feedbackI absolutely adore this place! It is incredibly charming both inside and out. It is Sunday at 9am and I was able to secure a reservation for brunch at 12:30pm. When we arrived, we were seated promptly on the terrace and the experience only improved from there. The service was efficient and we were enjoying two delicious cocktails before we even decided on our food. Despite having chicken and waffles last weekend, I couldn't resist ordering them here. The Spanish Fried Chicken and Cornflour Waffle with Jamon Serrano was amazing! There's a reason why there are many photos of this dish. The A.O.C. Brioche was also a hit! If you like croque madame, you will love this dish. The frisée salad provided a great balance and cleansed the palate so we could easily finish the whole plate without feeling heavy. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Perfect for a date or gathering with friends and family.
After years of dining, this is my first review on Google. The ambience at A.O.C was very comfortable and inviting, especially on the elegant patio where we dined. I believe A.O.C deserves a rating of at least 4.8 overall, and I would give it a full 5 stars. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended wine pairings that perfectly complemented each dish. Every course was delicious, but the farmer's vegetables were a surprising favorite. The scallop and clam entrees were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For dessert, the butterscotch mousse with a port pairing was one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're in Los Angeles.
A.O.C is a charming wine bar that offers small plates focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The extensive wine list and unique cocktails with a twist make it the perfect spot for a girls night out. I had the farmer's plate, focaccia with grilled mushrooms, grilled sea bream, clams, and chocolate torte. The dishes were mostly delicious, with highlights including the fresh grilled vegetables, flavorful sea bream, and tasty clams. The chocolate torte had a strong chocolate flavor which I enjoyed. The only disappointment was the Weiser farm fingerlings with creme fraiche, as the texture was not to my liking and the dish lacked flavor. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Price was $88 per person with 2 drinks. Check out @eatswithedith on Instagram for more detailed reviews!
Hostess was kind of a train wreck but everything else was spectacular!!! The Spanish fried chicken rocks. The pasta was on point! The soft shell pasta was fantastic. Waitress was very accommodating. Don 't try the octopus squid rice if your not into very seafood tasting dishes. You 'll know what I mean if you try it. I was, however, puzzled by why the consumer has to pay an extra 5% for health insurance for its employees. I 'm all for insurance but shouldn 't that come out of the owners ' expenses and not charge on top of what they are charging? Bizarre. Didn 't have an issue paying it this time but it is very hard to swallow when you do not get a waiter like ours today.
Terrific restaurant. Inventive and superbly executed cuisine. Dishes that are great for group sharing, with layers of flavors. Great wine list. Well informed and excellent service. You can definitely spend less than we spent, but we went crazy with their wine list, plus we wanted to try a lot of things so we ordered many small plates and entrees for our 5 person group. We also ordered the dessert plate, which I highly recommend.
