Cottonwood On The Greens - Los Alamos

The owners take really good care of you, the food is good and so is the scenery. You owe it to yourself to stop by and try for yourself.

The service was middle of the road. 1 server but few tables, it was not busy, in heinsight probably due to poor food quality. I had an elk burger with fries. The elk burger was the most obviously frozen burger I have ever had. It tasted just like a burger you would be served in a school lunch. Poor bread quality and lack of flavor. I could make a better burger for a lot less than $20.. The fries were cold. The atmosphere was the worst thing ever. I don’t know what one should expect out of a restaurant at a golf course, but the star spangled banner in jazz form isn’t something I particularly enjoy. In fact I found it disruptive to the quiet and quaint atmosphere. Why play music at all? Let alone the weirdest elevator music you can find… I would not return, nor recommend anybody eat here, unless they would like to experience the most overpriced and underdelivering restaurant in Los Alamos. You’re better off going to Sonic for a burger, paying half the price and getting something that actually tastes like food.Please do not attack me personally or threaten me for leaving an honest review. Service was slow. Food was way over priced, bland and frankly looked like it came out of a box and went right into a microwave. Not even close to what one might expect from a Country Club restaurant. We actually heard the Star Spangled Banner while we were waiting on our food. Very, very disappointed.

Cottonwood accommodated our large party very well in their lovely patio area. The staff was pleasant and organized, and they had each person's drink ready when we arrived. Our pre-ordered lunches were out shortly afterwards. Everyone was pleased with the food and service and agreed that Cottonwood will be a great place for future events!

Service was excellent but unfortunately the two times I went the food was not good. My pizza was burnt (couldn't even bite it). And the second time my fish was not cooked all the way. I guess if you order a burger that's safe but I will not try any other menu option.
