The best latte and desserts were not only visually pleasing but also delicious. The service was exceptionally friendly. I would definitely return.

If your journey brings you to the beautiful Hunter Valley then you must drop in for one of the delicious pastries or ' the best' vanilla slice ever! Beautiful,friendly girls serving great coffee.

A short walk over the Belmore bridge from Maitland brings you to Lorn and the home of Icky Sticky. It is quite a small shop, but it has some amazing works of art inside which you hesitate to ruin by eating them.For a nice lunch, their meat pies are to die for and the sausage rolls are fantastic as well. Just make sure you get there on or before midday to make sure you can secure one! I'm yet to try any of their sweet cakes, but they look amazing.

Fancying myself as a croissant fan, and having lived 6 years in Europe, this tiny little corner-store cafe makes the best croissants in Australia - as far as I am concerned. Crisp and brown on the outside, soft and pull-apart-able on the inside, they are perfectly sized and, if fresh out of the oven, simply perfect. Pair that with a good coffee, and sitting quietly outside on one of the two little tables, all could well seem right with the world. Also on offer are groovy pies and sausage rolls, plus a kind of wonderland of French-themed pastries, almond croissants, occasional nutella croissants, muffins and generally lovely things such as little strawberry custard tarts, mille-feuilles, chocolate something-or-others.. They also make fresh baguettes every day with chicken, brie, and so on - as well as nice little fruit-salads. You know you're on to a good thing when, in suburban little Lorn - the land of the Edwardian house - there's a queue outside every morning before the doors open. On New Year's Eve, this queue was 16 people long. Lovely friendly staff. Great coffees. Beautiful food. Total, utter gem.

We absolutely adore this restaurant! It was one of the reasons we chose to make Lorn our new home. The delicious treats and coffee, along with the warm and friendly staff, make every visit to this place a true delight!
