Bidra med feedbackI heard about this cuban place in Longwood the had a harpist at dinner Saturday nights. I ordered roast pork, black beans, rice, medeiros and choice of soup or salad. What's the soup? Best chicken soup you'll ever have. It was. Shredded chicken a few noodles, vegies and great broth. Meat in every spoonful. Small but wonderful portion. Pork was tender and fell apart, mixing with rice and beans. Great meal, but having fresh bread like most cuban places would be great. Maybe I can order that extra next time The harpest didn't disappoint. South American vib to his music. I'll be back.
First time here. Menu has choices of Cuban cuisine as well as Mexican cuisine. Overall food was good. I had the Havana Fried Rice, other people in my party had the Pechuga Ala Plancha and Pollo Empanizado. The Havana rice came with corn fritters which were very good. The food and service were overall were good. My wife said the Pollo Empanizado was just 'Ok ', however the Havana Rice and pechuga ala plancha were very good. Friendly and fast service.
I’m not sure why it took me so long to give this place a visit. The food was fantastic! This is the best authentic Cuban cuisine I've had since the tailgate parties in South Florida back in the '80s. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the happy hour sign, and the sangria is definitely worth trying. We started with the croquettes and plantain chips for appetizers, and they were outstanding! They should really package those chips to sell at the register. If you're in search of real chicken soup, look no further; the bowl was packed with chicken and vegetables, leaving no room for broth. My dining companion ordered the ribeye, and it was marinated to perfection — so tender it could be cut with a fork. I opted for the chicken with grilled onions, which was also delicious. The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. The chef even came by to check on us and see how we were enjoying our meals. This cozy little spot in the neighborhood is definitely one we plan to return to.
The food is excellent and diverse, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Occasionally, there are live artists performing, which adds to the overall experience. The drink selection is impressive, and the portion sizes are quite generous. There is plenty of parking available. Given the increasing popularity of this place, it might be wise to make a reservation ahead of time to ensure you have a table when you arrive.
Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this place! I visited around Father's Day, simply in search of a good meal, and I certainly found it. The roast pork was incredible—seasoned to perfection, and everything was fresh and hot! I even had leftovers for the next day. And speaking of prices, they were just right! Whenever I'm in Longwood, this will definitely be my go-to spot!
