Bidra med feedbackAuthentic Mexican cuisine. Appropriately expensive. You have all Salsas, Onions, Zilantro, Jalapenos etc. available in a Salsa Bar so you can dress up your food as you like. It's great!
The Tacos are amazing! Homemade food is ready to order, and the Salsa Bar is really great. Do not come if you are in a hurry or you need everything to be chain restaurant standardized, but if you want someone to cook you some delicious, authentic tacos, that is the place!
Authentic Mexican cuisine! The Maistortillas are delicious! We also enjoyed the Carnitas, Fish Tacos and Quesadillas. I would recommend stopping for lunch. You're so happy.
We went on Saturday at 4:00. Sweet simple setup. No toilets. Had the chicken and grilled fish tacos with a ceviche tostada. Husband had chicken and al pastor tacos. All proved to be timely (about 15 minutes) and well seasoned. They offer a large living bar that contains several types of salsa. The keviche was fresh, but not super remarkable. The tostada underneath was great. Proposal: If you don't offer toilets, how about wet for your hands? Tacos are bad.
Every year we come to Long Beach for a few days in February, to celebrate my birthday (not yet a national holiday, but give it time). Every year we spend a fortune eating at a restaurant that shall remain nameless but has an amazing view. Every year I 'm super disappointed with the food at...well, let 's call it Tickled Trish . So this year, we 're going from place to place, trying new things. Which brings us to Taqueria El Jalepeño: it wasn 't promising at first but I love little dives (even if the Light of my Life doesn 't) and knew it was going to be fine. She 's a little picky about certain things. I just had the second best carnitas of my life. Great al pastor, too. Very good beans and rice. Handmade tortillas. Friendly, quick, and delicious. Best food so far this year. Got a dozen tortillas to go; she made them while we ate.
