Colossus - Long Beach

Really loved this place. One of the few places where you can get a sense of community around OC. Coffee was always fantastic. I only ever ordered the done up egg in a basket, which was always fantastic. For pastry, their danishes are also really great and versatile. I was a bit disappointed in the chocolate croissant- the texture was good, but I personally did not care for the chocolate used. There is limited seating outside, but Rose’s dog park, as well as the pier is not to far to walk to alternatively.

Our go to for coffee in the morning and Pizza in the evening. One of my favorite spots on 2nd street!

I haven’t had a bad thing here yet, coffee drinks are great and so is their breakfast! They also have really bomb baguette sandwiches. They’re hearty and fresh. A neighborhood favorite for

Incredible quality bakery and cafe. Also has great pizzas. Prices a little high but worth it, and include living wage for servers so they could eliminate tipping altogether.

The staff here is VERY nice and it’s a cute spot. I’m rating the bread only. I’ve tried this spot a few times and each time the loaf was the same : Well done on the outside but a little bit gummy and damp on the inside. Still decent bread- maybe just use a little less water in the dough.
