Just recently discovered this place, and now it's a weekly lunch stop with friends. Great food, massive portions and good prices.
In London for a concert the day before, but anytime there, must bring home some chickens. We had orders for five this time, so the previous day called the shop and placed our order, they gladly accepted it with no complications. Arrived at our scheduled time and filled our cooler with the individual packaged chickens. The owner was very pleasant, great to talk with. When home here in Leamington, passed out the chickens, and then my wife and I once again enjoyed the best chicken IN THE WHOLE WORLD (so far at least). The taste imparted on the style of cooking is just so fantastic, we rave about it to everyone. MUST TRY folks.
I hate to provide a review without saying something positive so I'll say the waitress we had here was pleasant and friendly. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing about this place that would make me want to go back. The restaurant is old, run down and dumpy. The food is just plain boring and overpriced. It certainly was not what I expected and I definitely won't be returning anytime soon. There's so many better choices in London.
A day spent with family means a day eating. We decided to head out of the city, mistake #1, to check out London, Ontario. We love Portugal and have spent lots of time vacationing with the Portuguese. Since Like neon has a high Portuguese population, we decided to seek out an authentic restaurant. Our first close was closed, and this place happened to be just down the street. The restaurant was clean, but nothing fancy (pretty typical). Service was decent...friendly lady. Now the food. We ordered a traditional dish of pork and chicken with rice. The pork was so dry it was tough to cut through. The chicken was good, but not authentic “piri piri” bbq. The rice was hard and crunchy. The potatoes had no flavour. The pastel Natas...custard was good, crust was oily. Espresso was good. Best part of dinner, Dark Horse beer from Barrie. My suggestion, Pick another place
