Bidra med feedbackUpon ascending the stairs to the bar area, patrons will be struck by the spaciousness of the restaurant, with over 300 covers. The layout is cleverly designed with screens to prevent diners from feeling isolated, creating a functional yet authentic atmosphere wherever they sit. Traditional seating areas require guests to remove their shoes and sit on the floor, enhancing the Far East ambiance with a sunken area and koi pond. The chefs hail from various regions of Thailand, offering a truly authentic and diverse menu. The staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring a warm experience for all guests. The extensive beverage selection includes cocktails and mocktails crafted with fresh ingredients and handmade mixers, catering to both drinkers and non-drinkers. The menu features a variety of authentic dishes, making it difficult to choose just a few. Diners are encouraged to visit with friends in order to sample more options. Standout dishes include Thai prawn cakes, tom yum goong soup, lamb mussaman, and spicy grated papaya salad. Desserts such as banana fritters with coconut ice cream and Thai coconut roll are must-tries. Overall, the restaurant offers a unique and memorable dining experience, securing its place in the top 10 of Thai restaurants. Don't be surprised if you need a doggy bag or two to bring home leftovers.
The restaurant was decent, but not the greatest. I ordered coconut rice and a steak. The coconut flavor in the rice was too strong for my liking, so I had to send it back and switch it for egg fried rice. The view was stunning. I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. It's a hidden gem in an unexpected area. I tried the pad Ke-Mao, which was delicious and spicy. I enjoyed the aroma of the dish and was happy to find out that it was happy hour, so we got two mocktails for the price of one. What a win!
One of my favorite places to dinner is yum yum, a well-known Thai restaurant in stoke newington. it was on gordon ramsays f word some time ago, in competition for the best local thai of the nation. her subtitles court is the mustaman curry- which I can highly recommend! yum yum yum is located in the stoke newington high street, in a huge townhouse located behind some iron gates. it looks like someone house and not a typical restaurant. in the inner is great! it's actually a tardis. there is a sunken sitting area where they need to pull out their shoes and comfortable on a kiss and I love it! this time we sat on normal tables, because this section was not yet open. boo. I consulted with a passion fruit mojito and tiger beer. I'm not a biertrinker in the rule, but if I do it, it's tiger beer all the way! it brings memories back to hot, sunny days and the beach grows. Dinner in the evening! we ordered softshell baskets and golden bags for starter. I'm a fiancée for soft-shell cancer- it's just a scandal, sometimes it looks like deep fried spining, but honestly it's delicious. I'm not really a fan of the deep fried golden bags, I'd rather dampen them, but robin enjoys them. for dinner we shared damped sea bass and grilled duck with sweet and acidic sauce with a side of garlicky tomorrow wonderful. eating is great, the service friendly and the cocktails are deadly. if that doesn't storm them, maybe the fee lighter and topless statues will be out? an dinner for two costs about £60- more when they are on the alcohol. they also do takeaways that they can order online. it's such a pretty place, I'd say give it a visit and ask her for a place at a sunken table!
Yum Yum is a great Thai restaurant that has been around for many years. It is set in a listed Georgian period building and is massive in size. Yum Yum has many different dining areas, including a section where diners can sit on floor cushions and eat from knee high tables and also features private dining rooms. The interior decor is both chic and contemporary and Yum Yum has a cool suave vibe about it. The eatery has a good cocktail bar and a rather large wine cellar. Yum Yum holds regular Jazz evenings in one of its lounges and periodically holds special Thai events for its diners. These can be a pleasant surprise and often turn the evening into more of an event than just a meal. There is an extensive menu and the quality of the dishes varies from good to very good, with one or two star dishes as well. This can be surprising as sometimes Yum Yum is extremely busy, having 300 covers, and yet they still manage to generally maintain the overall good quality of their dishes. The waitering staff are also generally very friendly and eager to please. I have eaten here many times overs the years and below are some of my favourite dishes. Crispy Soft Crabs, Hot Wings, Beef Paneng Curry, Chicken Ginger (Stir fry with Mushrooms), Lamb Mussaman Curry served with Pumpkin and Potatoes (my favourite dish), Lobster Pad Prik Pao (Whole lobster stir fried with chilli oil, soya sauce and oyster sauce), Pla Choo Chee (Whole Sea Bass cooked in a creamy red curry sauce) and the Squid with Chilli and Basil Leaves. Yum Yum always reminds me of my favourite Thai holiday resorts and makes me dream of my next far eastern holiday. If you love Thai food, I think that you will love Yum Yum. Halal.
