The Duke - London

The Sunday evening atmosphere at this restaurant was fantastic, with attentive staff, a great selection of wines and beers, and amazing food. Live music starting at 7pm added to the already wonderful experience.

The Steak Night meal was absolutely delicious and great value. I would definitely recommend it and go back again.

We had a perfect birthday celebration at this restaurant. Everything was excellent, from the amazing food - I tried the fish special and the sauce was delicious - to the attentive and helpful waiter, and the lovely atmosphere. We had a wonderful night and will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

We have eaten at The Duke many times and have always been pleased. However on this occasion we were very disappointed. It was early Sunday evening and they had been very busy at lunchtime. My wife ordered the fish stew which she had had before and I ordered the nut roast. My wife was very disappointed with the fish stew as it was nothing like before as it was all mussels and hardly any fish. They had run out of nut roasts so I had to have Halloumi with polenta which was a bit strange. We also had to send back a glass of white wine as it had no taste whatsoever. The staff did try their best to correct the problems and were apologetic but the evening was spoiled. On top of that my wife was ill the next day and did not feel right for a few days after that. I don’t think we will be returning any time soon.
