Bidra med feedbackI had a medical appointment at st mary’s to meet a friend here for lunch in front of the hand. big mistake. the food was good as the service, but there were 0 atmostphere- what I guess was to expect. this is a place for business meetings. probably for those who catch a train. it was also very expensive for what we got, what, again, I appreciate the business world / atmosphere.
Brasserie Hilton Paddington was a good location for dining with two foodie friends travelling through Heathrow, despite our reticence to eat in hotels. Disappointed that the carvery does not work on Sundays but an extremely tempting menu, too difficult to choose so we tasted each other's dishes. All three starters, mains and puddings were wonderful. Wine list comprehensive and the Cotes du Rhone was very good. Service friendly but courteous. Not cheap but worth it. But long walk to the ladies!
Went to The Brasserie for lunch on Sunday for a friend to celebrate his 60th before he flew back to the US. They were very accommodating, and friendly, and the food was delicious, though somehow they just couldn't get it together. Coffee forgotten, 2 orders of sea bream arrived rather than the 2 orders of salmon waitress had actually double-checked on! The food WAS worth the wait, but we wondered, as the only diners there, how it could be so challenging.
I vizier at the Brasserie in the Paddington Hilton for breakfast. Atmosphere akin to a motorway services, staff deliberately inattentive. door adequate for nourishment purposes. Breathtakingly expensive.
We went to Woburn Place to eat on 29.22.08. Both the starters were good which raised an average meal to slightly above average. By London standards, especially in financially hard times, the three course set menu was good value for money. The venue, a lovely Victorian conservatory would be better suited to spring and summer eating rather than on a cold November night. The service was good, and we would go back for a meal but not a special occasion.
