St John's Tavern - London

We visited St. johns three times, were never disappointed. the food has always been delicious and will definitely go again. if I have to say something negative, then the service can be a little slow, but the friendly staff eating and extremely reasonable prices more than does it. we can highly recommend this place.

I've been here for almost 20 years. not regularly, perhaps once or twice a year or so. We used to live near Pre-Kids. Anyway, after a consultation, we thought that on the evening of my 48th birthday, this week-end would come to a meal and I am very glad that we did. the quality of eating was excellent. the grilled squid chrorizo star I had was amazing and up there with the best squid I ever eaten. I wanted to find out from the cook how he cooked it, but the children were 'to be embodied. next was the venison. amazing, they melt in their mouth tender. the rest of the family was equally happy with their eating. the place has a very relaxed, warm, welcoming atmosphere. not polite in any wise and the waiting staff are all friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to my next visit whenever that can be.

Wonderful ambience good food and service. What's not to like?

Nursing a hangover a few Saturdays ago, my housemates and I dragged ourselves to St John’s Tavern hoping they would have **** marys. Luckily they did, and luckily they are amazing and a bargain at £4.75). Perfect proportions of tabasco, black pepper, good tomato juice, good vodka and whatever other magical ingredients there are in there. Also +10 points for the celery stick; making an alcoholic drink into a substantial meal. A friend said an oyster dropped into a **** mary is delicious, so I naively ordered an oyster £2.50) and dunked it in. What a waste. It adds no particular flavour to the drink which doesn’t need any saltiness, and wastes a tasty oyster. While we’re on the topic, I really don’t understand why people, and etiquette, insist on not chewing oysters.

A fabulous gem of a gastro-pub located in the upcoming and upcoming fun spot archway. had dinner here with a big group of friends. stylish imaginative restaurant quality eating, delicious weine but the service is what makes this place special. the personal goes beyond and beyond to take place. love it
