Hux, Modern American Brasserie - London

The food and drinks at this restaurant exceeded the expectations of myself and my 3 bosses. We went on a Wednesday night, just before the lockdown, and surprisingly the restaurant wasn't fully booked, so we were able to find a table during peak hours. My bosses ordered the fried calamari, clam chowder, and burgers, which they absolutely loved and are still raving about to this day. One of them is American too.

American Hux is the go-to restaurant for my friends and I, because the food is excellent, choice of wines good, attentive staff, and a really nice atmosphere. The tables are well spaced so you can have a conversation without sharing it with strangers!

Today we went for lunch and were extremely pleased with our meal and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It was also a special birthday lunch for my wife, which I mentioned in my booking but didn't expect anything from it. The staff greeted us and wished my wife a happy birthday. At the end of our meal, when we ordered coffee, they surprised us with a brownie with cream and a candle, and even sang happy birthday to my wife. It was a lovely touch.

The food was delicious, the service was good, and the surroundings were nice (although slightly quiet due to the pandemic). Overall, it was a lovely experience.
