Lovely restaurant and delicious food, unfortunately officious staff. Despite booking we were rudely shouted at to get back outside and stand behind the door and then ignored for 5 minutes! Probably should have left but needed lunch for 4 on a Saturday so it was easier to wait!

I had never been to a Shoryu restaurant before, so I was excited to finally try the food with my husband. The location in Kingly Court was a great choice, and the atmosphere, sights, sounds, and smells all added to the experience. The teriyaki chicken and baos were tasty but nothing exceptional. I ordered the miso wafu chicken ramen, which was a generous portion and delicious. The staff were friendly and quick, and despite arriving 18 minutes late (thanks to Google Maps), I was pleasantly surprised when the receptionist seated us in a cozy area of the restaurant instead of turning us away due to their bookings and late arrivals policy. However, I don't think I would return for a second visit given the prices.
