Bidra med feedbackRestaurant lalibela is a trip in the heart of Ethiopia during in lome. I loved the decor and the environment. it's simple, but it looks neat. we ordered a mixed cherry with injera. that was a bit cold. in general our experience was beautiful.
Good food; highly recommended if interest in Ethiopian court!
I honestly have mixed feelings. I hadn't had Ethiopian food in over 2 years and I was really craving some. I was super happy when a friend told me about this restaurant and was super hype to go. Side Note: my friend lovesss this place and talks about it all the time. 1. Super cute restaurant. It Has cute outdoor patio type seating. I can totally see people using it for different events. 2. The waitress was very nice and helpful by explaining to my friends who have never had Ethiopian food before what the different dishes were and what she would recommend. 3. The food was fine. I got the vegetarian platter that I always get when I eat Ethiopian food and it was fine. That's all . It tasted like the memory of Ethiopian food so like slightly off. It tasted kind of bland. And the injera bread wasn't soft and spongy. I believe that was 5500 cfa. My friend got a meat dish (the first on the beef section I believe) and it was very yummy. I think that was around 4500 cfa and my other friend got a fish dish (the second in the fish section perhaps) that was also very yummy for 4000 cfa. Both came with rice. Also the fresh pineapple juice was nice . Overall it was a very pleasant experience and the place had good ambiance and staff. The food in general seems to be good except the vegetarian platter was a little lacking. Sorry I couldn't remember the name of the dishes.
Tasty Ethiopian food, to be eaten directly with your hand by using the injera bread as customary. Let's hope that they will soon revert to a normal opening schedule.
The restaurant is good, the food is okay, but the waiter is not ok, badly experienced
