Bidra med feedbackEdit visit on 11/2019: Great service, minimal waiting. Our server (Bridget I think) was AWESOME. She treated a big party fantastic. The food is okay. I enjoyed the onion rings and fried pimples. The salmon was also delicious, but I had hoped (by the description) that the sauce was more of a crust. Although it was more of a sauce, it was quite delicious and the salmon was wonderfully cooked. The Jalapeno Ranch Dressing on the salad was a bit hot for a salad but was great with the fried appetizers. The potatoes were good. I ordered their highest price red wine (I don't remember the name, but it was from Mondavi) and it was very good. For a stop in Locust, it's good food, but it could be top notch with a few tweaks. I hope to see the few tweets in the future. Original visit: You still get used to things, but they do a phenomenal job! That's the best restaurant I was in Stanly County. They quickly learned that they had to keep people at the door and they had to sit slowly. While waiting lasted a long time, it was a great service and everything went smoothly. I tried every plate at our table. So I'm gonna make a quick check of everyone. Chargrilled Oyster's holy cow. Fantastic. I can't wait to go back to try their steamed ones. Chicken roasted deviled eggs surprisingly delicious! Baked pickles were okay. The spears were the best. There mentioned something about Jalapenos on the menu and we thought we could get fried Jalapenos there, but there was none. Crawfish etouffe that was my actual dish and from all 6 meals it was one of the tops of the dishes. Rice was a little mosshy. But that was a great dish with many cancers and I will eat it again. Guiso plate of taste was good. I personally think if they put rice and beans together with meat more like a soup, it would be great and that is how my friend ate it according to my recommendation. Brisket street tacos this was the other winner of the table. The bride was really delicious. I'll get for me the next time. When pigs fly, this was probably the third place of all meals. Very delicious. The onion jam mixed with ham and the marinade of chicken was a beautiful combination. Very delicate chicken too. Hangersteak the taste was great, it was cooked big, but it was 't really cut, so it was a bit hard to eat. If they cut it to 45, this would be a fantastic meal. Potatoes were great. Buttermilk cake. Didn't work for me. I just got it because they were out of the kicker. You need another dessert. Something with fruit. The atmosphere is wonderful. You did a great job to redesign this restaurant. Parking is a little funny, but apparently they have some plans to make it better. I look forward to the success of this restaurant in the coming years. Great job! Back for an app. Had the schnapps crisp sack. Large offer for 15.00 and perfect for a small meal for one. You don't have crab crackers that made this interesting. They did it, but it was still hard to get the whole meat out. This is my only complaint. It had no amazing taste, but it wasn't bad at all. I'd rather only make shrimps or oysters next time.
(This restaurant has closed from September 2020. It is now called Outfitter's Mercantile sale goods instead of food. We were very sad when it was closed. We really enjoyed it. I think all closures are 50% capacity restrictions of COVID which they are in. While they were open they were a great place to eat). The food was great. Service was top notch. We actually tried outfitters when we were opened first, were somehow disappointed, but we really enjoyed our meal tonight. I had planned the Friday dinner special of BBQ ribs and chicken, but waitress caution that the BBQ sauce was a honey (yay) chipotle (boo) mixture. I can't tolerate sharp dishes. The meat was perfectly cooked, ordered medium rare and seasoned exactly right. My husband and I do not like excessively seasoned foods and sometimes even steaks come from pepper. Let customers season with pepper if they want. This steak had exactly the correct amount of pepper and coarse salt I loved. The brussel sprouts were delicious. They have a kind of bacony sweet taste that perfectly compliments them. Not excessive. Not excessively fat like a few places. I like to taste my food and think that spices should improve food, not overwhelm. Outfitters beat the brand. My husband got the chopped steak and it was huge. Options are for many toppings, but he specifically ordered it with onions and gravy and asked them the paprika and mushrooms (which he does not like). His duck was perfect. He got a sweet potato cuprole he said was really good green beans done beautiful. I forgot to mention my side salad. Very nice. A beautiful mix of fresh baby greens, thin sliced onions, bacon, cheese, tomatoes and cakes... all perfectly proportional, no toppings buried the salad, but were a nice refill of each. The Balsamico-Vinaigrette was good, light and not too sweet. We were very happy with our meal and look forward to another meal there. LOL. I ate the salad before I thought to take a picture. It was so fresh.
Great place to eat!!! Between the huge selection of menus and restaurants. It is very comfortable and relaxing. Just a problem... You're a little expensive. In principle, we cannot eat here all the time The parking lot could also use more rooms.. But overall, very beautiful place!
We visited this restaurant tonight with friends. A nice menu and several specialties were offered. We shared an appetizer that was a steam bucket of oysters, crabs, caribou sausage, shrimps, small red potatoes. To share a lot for all of us. The men enjoyed the best rib special, while the ladies ordered the salmon special, which was a crab sun dried tomatoes filled salmon. Delicious with Pimento cheese stone floor geese steamed green beans . Gentlemen had no problems with a plentiful part of the main rib with loaded baked potatoes damped asparagus yeast rolls . Our dessert was a decadent pecan pie cobbler with vanilla ice cream, which was fabulously sinful. The staff was helpful. Restaurant toilets were very clean. Will definitely visit this restaurant again. #2 Visit 9/13/19 took a party of seven tonight. Had a wonderful meal our whole party was well satisfied. The specials are always a good choice here. Today we had the deep-fried devil eggs onion rings to begin. The eggs were a unique experience, but very good. Now onion rings are something we enjoy, do not disappoint them! Big thick butter milk then dipped in the coating fried crispy delicious, served with a delicious sauce for diving. Two of our party enjoyed the chicken rib meals, two enjoyed the Sirloin tips with bbq bacon packed shrimps. Now the Sirloin tips were excellent, so delicately cooked perfectly. One of our party had the Ribeye Steak with oyster rocker feller, the steak was perfectly boiled t very tender, Oysters Rockefeller are a delicious treat! You are also available in the Appetizer menu. Our during the party enjoyed the pecan cobbler for dessert you need to save space. for this delicious dessert . We met the young man who makes them, he was very nice to take time to talk to us for a few minutes. The staff took care of us, we had a wonderful time. We will soon enjoy another evening with Outfitters soon.
Enjoyed our meal there. They always have fantastic wines. We chose this restaurant that evening because they've had 2 fantastic wines and we wanted that with dinner. Although they were out of the wine we wanted, they spoke to us about other wines and offered to let us taste. They were out because we had the last bottle a visit before and informed us they were trying to get more in for us. The salmon is always great. We've have it cooked different ways twice and never disappointed. My husband got the porterhouse that night and it was the winner! Tasted fantastic, very soft and great portion. Price was spot on as well. That evening it was buy one get one half off so my husband ordered one to go and brought it home for our son. The owner and her father came to table to ask how our meals were and ask for any feedback. We did voice that a previous visit the ribeye wasn't that great. They apologized and asked what could be done to make experience better. Fantastic people. Definitely recommend this place. Friendly atmosphere, service is great and accommodating and food is tasty.
