Bidra med feedbackAnother holiday and another few visits to this lovely cafe to watch the world go by!! Lovely setting, they serve everything from coffee and pastries and gelato through the day and of course food for lunch and drinks in the evening. Always good. This time we were served by the lovely Antonella who was so friendly and professional and seemed to be able to converse in any language! She is delightful!
In the land of panini this was the worst panini ever. They toasted the prosciutto crudo and lettuce in our sandwiches which came out boiling and soggy. When we realised there were lots of other delicious alternatives around it was too late. To top it off they overcharged us and when we asked for clarification they nonchalantly said “the menu prices aren’t up to date”.
We have been going there for over 13 years for great coffees, gelato, cakes and gatherings and meetings. Inside or outside...go people watching and relax and enjoy the crowds.
One of the great pleasures of coming to Italy is for good access to Gelato. So much better than ice cream. It is served a few degrees warmer. And secondly it has far less water in it. Both these features mean that the flavours are much more intense. Our party enjoyed Vanilla, Mango, Coffee and a highly coloured creation which I have absolutely no idea what it was. The Caffè is on a big square so you can sit and watch the world go by. Brilliant. And the local architecture and the maze of tiny alleys are fascinating. Hayling Seagoon
One of the few places where they have a terrace, very nice to sit down and enjoy! Friendly service, little menu; just good to have a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine or an ice cream! Perfect for a little break, nothing really special, but very decent as said.
