Rc Otter's Island Eats

Great little restaurant and the portions are huge. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip to start, then steak Quesadillas and seafood grilled fajitas. Prices were fair and the service was awesome.

Great small place we ate at for breakfast and a lunch. Convenient location and kid-friendly food. We missed the breakfast deadline and were struggled to get the kids to get excited about their lunch options. Overall, fresh fruit was readily available here as opposed to other places, inside was a bit cooler, staff were busy but kept up.

We came for breakfast and had to come back for dinner! Both were so good and the service is the best on the island. My husband's seafood fajitas were so fresh and delicious. We all loved everything! Do not miss this spot.

The rice and beans were awesome!!!! The Caesar salad was super fresh and tasty! It was our first time visiting and while we weren’t the biggest fan of our waitress, the other two seemed super attentive to their tables! Would recommend based on food and the outside dj!

Our family came in for lunch, excited to be back to Captiva for the first time in several years. RC Otters’ atmosphere was delightful with the live music and Jimmy Buffet feel. Food was excellent, above par compared to other neighboring restaurants we frequent. Service- began as satisfactory, ended with rude remarks and attitude from server Michaela after requesting separate checks. Party of 5- four adults and one child. It was lunch time- so nothing crazy on the bill- just needed two to be separate then the rest on one. When asked to separate- our response was a rude ‘Can’t read your mind!’ We were dumbfounded. Not one of us said a word until she left. The comments that followed were equally as condescending and sarcastic. Her tip reflected those remarks. With two fine-dining servers in a highly-visited tourist area being among the guests dining at her table, her comments were beyond unprofessional, they were uncalled for. It may be time to hang it up, and find something else that doesn’t make one so miserable, or seem so by the customers who have the unfortunate luck of being seated in her section. We came to eat a good meal and experience a beachy, fun atmosphere- not be subjected to unnecessary verbal harassment by our waitress.
