L'Archetto Take Away - Locarno

Tucked away behind the grande piazza, we came across this amazing little restaurant where nothing was too much bother. The pizzas were too die for and very reasonably priced. The pizzaiolo was very friendly and welcoming. 3 visits in 3 days says it all Would...recommend

We ordered two pizzas, the crust was to our liking, enough crunch and not too doughy. The ingredients were ham and artichoke which turned out to be very yummy. The other pizza we ordered was just as delicious. He cut the pizza up for us...and it was very handy as we were tourist who wanted to take the pizzas back to the hotel to eat. It was so good that we returned the next night for more pizzas. To our surprise, this time, none of the pizzas were cut up and the pizzas weren’t as hot but we still enjoyed it.

Being Neapolitan, I can be very demanding about the quality of the pizza, but L 'Archetto got me curious, due to the description of how the dough was prepared, so I decided to give it a try... and was very happy to have done so! The...pizza base was soft, light and with just the right amount of crispness, and its flavour was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The pizza was prepared on the spot, which added to its intense flavour. This place is about 1 minute 's walk from Locarno 's Piazza Grande, and you will be happy you could spare that one minute. Very cheap (considering the average Swiss prices), and home made by a chef with a real passion for cooking, deserving all the praise and encouragement he can get! All in all a truly delicious surprise.

The archetto asks a large selection of inexpensive and very fine pins. Although it is a take-away, you can sit in a nearby and very nicely furnished bar to eat and use the toilets there. very recommended for the little starving!

Ottimo. I was kicked out on this take away thanks to tripadvisor and ate the first time ever pins.Crispy spicy, soft inside, is not hard on. exactly right to get rid of the starving without wearing stone in the mouth.Gerne again
