L George's Coney Island - Livonia

My husband and I like to frequent this location for breakfast on the weekend. The food is always good and the establishment is clean. The staff is good depending on what day you come in. It is a smaller Coney Island — so it’s a little tight when you enter just be aware. Overall — good stuff!

So I've eaten here with my family and enjoyed myself. Food was pretty good and the staff was friendly. If I wrote a review back then it would have been 4 stars easy.However, today I ordered delivery for lunch and I was very disappointed. My gyro was a little cold like it had been sitting out for a while. I live near the restaurant and my order was here in less than 25 minutes so I'm a little put off by that.I started feeling a little yuck a few hours later on and decided to eat my salad which was going great until I ended up with a very long straight stand of hair in my mouth. NO ONE in my home or who has ever been in my home has hair like that so...I almost vomited at that point. So now I'm worried that the food I had for lunch is the reason that I'm not feeling too well. I'm really disappointed because I wanted this to become our go to coney since we moved to a new town but this experience kind of shook me.If y'all end up seeing this, please have the staff that's preparing the food put their hair back in a ponytail and wear hair nets. Idk if the food is the real reason I'm not feeling too well but finding a long hair in my salad doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the cleanliness and consideration involved in the preparation of my food.I might not NEVER eat here again but it won't be anytime soon. ?

Not the same staff or owners. Hey the cook can’t make eggs like how ? We ordered over easy, and over medium even came back and tried sunny side up and every time our eggs was fried hard.

Well we stopped in for a couple coneys we had been here 2 times prior with not bad service but just service, standard I guess you’d say, but on this visit a young lady one I had not seen prior waited on us and the service was outstanding friendly happy to see you glad your here what can I do to please you kinda service the kind of service you should get everyday all the time no matter what type of business you are a customer at.Samantha I believe she told us her name was forgive if I’m wrong but young girl pretty with dark hair medium skin tone. Regardless if she should read this she knows who she is : and so do we and without doubt so should the person or persons who sign her paycheck . This is exactly the type of employee all business owners should seek out and if your lucky to find yourself one as amazing and welcoming as this young lady well by all means hold on tight to them they are far and few in between today , the art of customer service is being lost on a world filled with people who simply want to clock in and clock out.So with that said my husband and I want to say our personal thank you to Samantha for making our day just a little brighter our lunch much more enjoyable and the world a hell of alot a better place to be !!!
