Luling Smoke House Bbq And Taqueria

We were in town visiting and were looking a bbq spot. Happened upon this one driving around. So happy we did. Food is to go only here but we'll worth it. We ordered the baked potato, loaded and the three meat plate. Potato was good size, soft, hot, and loaded with meat and all the other goodies. Three eat plate was very decently priced. He chose sausage, brisket, and ribs with potato salad and beans. Ribs were tender and flavorful, sausage was good, brisket was so tender.

First time trying this place... Parking lot was empty but the sign said open so we went in. No table service only to-go, not a deal breaker. I'm so glad we decided to try it, the sliced brisket was tender and delicious, sausage was super smokey. The sauce was different but very tasty. We picked up fries at Wendy's on the way home lol. Fast friendly service, will definitely go back.

We had a family member in the hospital, and they wanted BBQ. We tried Luling as it was the closest one. My wife asked for thin sliced and was rebuffed with, we use a knife, several times by the two workers.They both seemed irritated that she even asked. We ended up buying a chop and the sliced beef sandwiches. The family member tried the chop beef sandwich and said it was bad. It may have been because he felt bad as I looked at it and tried some of the beef and it was OK just dry. They did include some sauce that would have helped.We grew up in the area and know most people are very friendly and willing to help others. So we were surprised at the workers at Luling BBQ.

Wonderful to finally find real bbq!!!! No sugar laden meats nor sides: just the real thing!!!Take away only.
