Vicky was amazing from the time we walked through the door to getting drinks, eating dinner and after dinner. She made us feel valued and exceptional service throughout. Six adults and 2 children aged six went for Sunday dinner. We have been here in the past and but today was our worst experience. Last time we were here the food just luke warm . Today i phoned at around 9.30 to say haw unhappy we were. plates cold , food lukewarm. Wont be coming here again.

Went here as I fancied a roast dinner and couldn't be bothered to make my own. I had pork, beef and turkey and all of the meat was good. The veg was ok if a little bland, needed seasoning and I think was frozen not fresh though I could be wrong. The roast potatoes let the whole thing down though. It said they were cooked in beef dripping which sounded great however they were just soggy with no crispness whatsoever. This isn't the only place where the roasties turn out like this, most restaurants roasties are the same, but come on chefs, it's not hard to cook a crispy, tasty roast potato. The pigs in blankets also had no blankets and the cauliflower cheese was bland, again frozen I think. After saying all of this the place was heaving and the staff were just lovely. It cost roughly £28 for two dinners, one being the XL and two pints shandy. Reasonable enough but would be happy to pay more for better quality ingredients

First of all the staff member who served us had absolutely no idea what he was doing. My partners vegan and we had to wait for vegan gravy which turned out to just be the vegetarian gravy already out. We were also told only 3 of the veggie options were available, with the only vegan option being a literal salad (who wants a salad with their carvery idk). We then asked for a box to take our leftovers home as they can't eat large portions and were told they don't do this, despite literally having seen the manager give another table a box. Unsure what their issue was but will not be returning.
