Bidra med feedbackI would like to address the previous reviewer who left a negative review. I was seated at table number 2 with my partner and baby, near your table, and overheard your rude behavior towards the bartender. We both ordered our meals at the same time, and I had the steak while my partner had the SFC, both of which were delicious. The pub was not cold at all, as I even took off my coat, and the bartender was wearing a black short-sleeved shirt. We frequent the Pear Tree often and have always had a positive experience.
The pub was extremely cold and I had to wait 35 minutes for my rump steak. I ordered it medium cooked but it arrived lukewarm with some raw areas. The oven chips were hot, but the tomato was only half warmed and there were plenty of peas, 3 warm onion rings, and a terrible packet peppercorn sauce that was both sweet and inedible. I will not be coming back to dine here again.
We have been going to The Pear Tree for over a year now. The staff is delightful, friendly, and accommodating. My children have special needs and find socializing difficult, but The Pear Tree provides a calming atmosphere. They always serve a perfect cold pint in the correct glass. We are disappointed that it has been closed due to Covid. We are looking forward to returning soon. Thank you, Gaynor and staff.
We visited the pear tree over the festive period and although it was busy the staff were great and friendly especially a lady called Vicky she really looked after us. The food was nice typical for a pub and the atmosphere was lovely. The traditional Xmas decs are beautiful. A nice touch!
I’ve drove past this lovely little pub a few times and decided to take the wife. The outside is really nice and has a lovely little beer garden. However, the food is substandard to say the least. Also the Landlady should maybe consider a new profession where she doesn’t have to engage with the general public. If I said she was rude it would be an understatement!! I wouldn’t recommend this place and we certainly won’t be going back.
